Leslie’s passion for food, wine and travel started at age five when her grandmother handed her chopped liver on a toast point. This set the stage for the foodie within. Being fortunate to start traveling at a young age, she was introduced to curried goat in Jamaica, dates off the tree in Israel before floating in the Dead Sea and her first chocolate soufflé at Maxim's in New York City.
After graduating college in Boston with a Communications degree, Leslie set her sights on being an event planner and made many contacts in the food and wine industry. Upon moving to NYC and working in fashion she made her career change and became the NY and CT Account Executive for Lieb Cellars in Long Island and currently for seven vineyards out of Sonoma, CA. She has conducted many wine dinners with high profile Chefs as well as private homes and for nonprofit foundations. Leslie has been on local TV with Chef Pietro Scotti discussing food and wine pairings and can also be found hosting wine tastings at Stew Leonards in Norwalk. Leslie is an avid cook herself and has taken classes at the Culinary Institute in New York.
In addition to travel writing, Leslie enjoys photography, sports and has a Persian cat named Raya after the amazing resort Rayavadee in Krabi, Thailand. She is TIPS certified and looking to get her Certified Specialist of Wine degree in fall 2015.
