Special Attention to Details
We noted that the service was flawless as that there was 3 staff members per guest.  Each employee wore a discreet earpiece with a microphone to communicate with fellow staff members for complete state of the art service.    

We were impressed with the attentiveness as we watched an elderly man go for a swim, instantly staff was paying special attention for his safety. We even went for a run in the morning to explore the grounds and without delay an escort was ready to follow us in a golf cart a few hundred feet back respecting our privacy.  Look forward to being treated like a celebrity!

When making reservations at the restaurants, the staff will ask you if  you have any special dietary needs or restrictions, such as a glucose intolerance, vegetarian options, organic, etc.  Your needs will be honored at all 15 resort food outlets upon request. 

Azul - Casual Dining Anytime
Azult has a laid back, open air atmosphere offering casual buffet dining from breakfast to lunch.  Dinner can be ordered from an a la carte menu. This restaurant overlooks the Caribbean beach and the Ambassador section pool.

Zen Grand Jungle Experience
The Zen Grand section of the resort offers an alternative to ocean front suites with a meditative jungle setting.  Truly a whole new energy is felt as one takes in the sounds of over 1500 bird species and the serene Zen energy.  The Zen area is next door to the spa and convention center, which has the capaciaty to cater to 3,000 guests. There are 2 ball rooms and 14 breakout rooms. There you will find the children's center and day care so that parents can enjoy some alone time. 

Not a Typical Spa - Time to Get Spoiled
Each spa treatment offers the famous Grand Velas Water Journey. (Included in any 50 minute spa treatment)  We were guided through approximately 8 water treatment rooms, each creating various water experiences, melting us into an utmost tranquil state.  The Water Journey takes about 60 minutes and can be enjoyed anytime once a spa treatment is booked.

We chose the Therapeutic Velas Maya Massage (50 min $198). This wasn’t just a massage - it was a journey of mind, body and spirit. We left our treatment stress-free and serene.

Extraordinary “Molecular” dining at Cocina de Autor
We were introduced to a completely new dining experience we never knew existed, yet becoming popular worldwide.  It is called “Molecular”. The celebrity chefs are imported from Barcelona Spain and Mexico City, each one is branded individually and have synergistically created one of the most famed “Molecular” cuisines in the country. 

We chose to have the waiter’s recommendation of the 10 course meal that would allow us to experience the full sampling of Molecular delights.  The waiters assured us that each course was a tasty smaller portion of a uniquely presented food - food that might be familiar to us, but presented differently.  Each course was remarkable and paired well with the wine recommendation of Miguel.  Marvelous once again!

Cinco de Mayo celebration at Frida – contemporary Mexican
Our Cinco de Mayo celebration (note: This holiday is an American Mexican holiday only) began at Frida.  Located in the Ambassador 3rd floor we were greeted by the Margarita cart offering several flavors of Margaritas. We chose the coconut Margarita, which reminded us of a Piña Colada, but with Tequila.  The modern presentation of authentic Mexican food was unique and delicious.

Savoring every last moment
Our last morning prior to returning to the airport, we woke up early to enjoy the scenery and have breakfast at Azul.  Be sure to walk the grounds late at night to capture the stars and moon over the water with the warm balmy air, also just after sunrise to capture the awesome colors of early morning light streaming across the Caribbean beauty. 

The pool at the Grand Master was perfect to swim laps in the morning’s quiet solitude light.  Lastly, we enjoyed the private terrace at our suite in the double chase lounge - taking in our last tranquil moment prior to departing.

One of the best all inclusives we’ve experienced - impeccable service, food, over-the-top spa treatments, over 205 ac of jungle, wild life and pure white sand beaches.   This resort beyond doubt has the allure to spark ultimate romance.
