far as what to wear to a match? Ladies can't go wrong with a bohemian sundress and great sunglasses or a hat. Topper styles for polo have evolved from the formal hat Julia Roberts wore in Pretty Woman into the many hip varieties you see worn today at Coachella and other outdoor events such as short brim, floppy, beret, and fedora to name a few. White and camel colors are always in for the international polo look. Flat sandals or wedges are the best footwear options for stomping the divots - you don't want to get a stiletto stuck in the grass. Since Greenwich Polo Club draws crowds from Connecticut and New York City, the men are also looking sharp wearing their best linen, trendy bermudas or denim for a casual look. But perhaps the best dressed men in attendance are the professional polo players in their white jeans, custom-made boots and team jerseys.
The season starts on June 7th at Greenwich Polo Club and all Sunday matches are open to the public. Tickets can be purchased online at www.GreenwichPoloClub.com/events/tickets and range from $40 per car for lawn seating, $60 per car for grandstand seating, box seats for $300 (seats 4) and $600 for VIP private cabanas (seats 8).
