The Resort at Longboat Key - One Bedroom Suite $375 - $600 Per Night

When I opened the door to my one bedroom suite I was pleasantly surprised. The suite encompassed approximately 850 square feet and overlooked the ocean. My room was delightfully fresh and was decked out with neutral contemporary furnishings. This included a full size kitchen that could accommodate up to six guests. One of the best features that I liked was the stacked washer and dryer!  It is very convenient and a huge plus to leave with clean clothes.

My bedroom had a sumptuous king size bed that was situated next to a sliding glass door, with an ocean front balcony. Weather permitting, this setup is perfect for catching the light breezes coming off the ocean, while taking a nap. I felt right at home in my room and could imagine staying there on an extended basis. It had everything one could desire.

Do you want to get your game on? If you would like to create a physically active schedule then this is the right place. The Tennis Garden has 20 Har-Tru courts and has consistently been named as one of the top ten tennis resorts in America by Tennis Magazine. The professional teaching staff makes getting out on the courts a fun and entertaining experience all around.

If you’d like to make some new friends sign up for a group lesson and you’ll be amazed at how the instructor can zero in swiftly on what is needed to get your tennis game back in the grove. During the summer months its best to schedule an early morning lesson due to the high heat and humidity in the afternoon. Proper tennis attire required. The spa was just updated and offers 10 treatment rooms with a wellness menu that offers 50 different treatments. The staff can also customize your session based on your specific needs. Please don’t hesitate to make special requests.

It is a happy day for me when there is a massage on the schedule. I walked into the spa, which was a cocoon of soft colors. Soothing music played as I changed into a plush robe and was escorted into the private massage room. I chose a lightly scented organic oil and the 50-minute deep tissue massage for my treatment. Portofino Restaurant and Grill
One of the best things about staying at the Longboat Key Club and Resort is that you don’t have to leave the property to get world classing dinning options. The resort had eight restaurants and lounges.

On our last night we were excited to have some fresh seafood and enjoy the ambience overlooking the marina. Portofino serves up classic Northern Italian cuisine and some of the best wood-fire brick-oven pizza around. The lush Italian terrace transported me to Italy. The panoramic harbor views were amazing.
