Tartu
Our trip included a visit to Tartu, the oldest city in Estonia. We booked several of Villa Margaretha's seventeen rooms and, upon arrival, were received with a warm welcome. This Art-Nouveau-style house features seventeen rooms; each with its own unique features. Art Nouveau furniture, accentuated by opulent floor-to-ceiling brocade drapes framed my large "living room" parlour windows. Villa Margaretha offers six double rooms, three junior suites, three deluxe double rooms, two deluxe suites with claw footed bathtubs and two luxurious penthouse suites. Tartu is a university town filled with vibrant, young energy. It's the kind of town you'll love hanging out in, any time of year. The winding river and bridges offer the perfect setting for quiet strolls. The cafes brim with students, making one feel optimistic. Estonia's future is certainly in good hands...

Exploring Seto Culture
Onward from Tartu, we journeyed into the land of the Seto people where we traveled back in time, serenaded by Seto woman in full traditional dress. You must experience first hand, the ornate cemetaries and singing rituals of this ancient culture. The Setos consider singing a natural and everyday tradition. Singing is used to express all thoughts and emotions. This is truly a spiritual experience not to miss as it captures the essence of a country steeped in centuries of tradition.
