pickiest eater will indulge in. No doubt these fresh lobsters are right from the resort’s front yard! For breakfast, the buffet features everything from pancakes to scrambled eggs along with cereal and fresh fruit for those with smaller appetites. Kids menu items are also available.
The Simple Life
We were pleasantly surprised at how simple life is at the Linekin Bay Resort. It’s elegantly rustic. Like most of us caught up in the hustle and bustle of today’s hyper connected world, this place offers respite and sanctuary where you can really unwind, relax and get back to the basics. Generations of families have been visiting the resort on a legacy basis. One Massachusetts family we sat with has been coming to the Linekin for the past 62 years! They boasted about the minimal changes over the years and reminisced about precious family moments of their children and grand kids having fun in the heated sea pool and roasting s ‘mores over a campfire on the rocks. It was comforting to them that many of the resort’s staff have known them for years and proudly offer their excellent service and hospitality to this day! That’s what makes Linekin Resort such a special place. I know that we’ll come back again soon. Perhaps for a family reunion. Because, it is...perfectly Maine.

Things to do at Linekin Bay Resort
Even with all there is to do and see in the harbor area. Many prefer not to leave the resort. But for those of you that crave an excursion, head to town. You will not be disappointed:
Paddle Boarding
This is a great adventure activity to try. It’s included as part of the resort’s offering. We couldn’t pass this one up so we gave it a try. As a balanced yogi it didn’t take long to get my footing on the long. It took about 15 minutes to get the rhythm and hang of the paddling you need to get underway. It’s like walking on water.
Whale Watching
We set off to explore Boothbay Harbor and see some whales one afternoon. Boothbay Whale Watch is one of the best companies to go out and see all the marine life. A majestic 25-foot Minke whale was railing along our vessel with all its grace and glory. It was riveting to see such magnitude. The watch and tour departs daily from pier 6 in Boothbay Harbor. The 3-4 hour cruise is $48 for adults $32 for juniors (11-16) and children (10-6) are $25. Children 5 and under ride free.
