feet and made checking out the four separate dining areas of the restaurant a fun experience. There are so many interesting table settings to choose from that it would be difficult to have a favorite table here.
Main Dining Room
The main dining room seats seventy and is very relaxed yet sophisticated. The architect bumped out the lower level of the structure to create a sun-lit gallery that has a colonnade of tables. The clever interior design separates the main gallery area so that hese tables offer a more subdued private dining experience.
Farmhouse Patio and Stone Grill
Weather permitting the Farmhouse Patio and Stone Grill are the perfect place to let it all hang out and to be more casual. It’s alfresco dining done right. The Smith and Hawkins patio seating offers excellent views of the trickling water feature. At night, the criss-crossing light strands overhead add a festive look and feel to the space. We loved it.
Wine Cellar
For an extra special evening, consider reserving the wine cellar's private table. Set among wood, stone, accent lighting and 1,500 bottles of wine, your guests surely find it impressive.
Lounge Bar
The Lounge Bar really hit home for us. It brought back memories of a proper gentleman's English lounge like the one at the Royal Crescent hotel in Bath, England. Order up your favorite Cognac or vintage wine and watch a black and white movie in front of the fire before retiring. Delightful.
Chef Jeremy McMillan
Chef Jeremy could have had a career in the NFL. He’s a big guy. Instead, he wound up becoming a world-class chef in the Arizona desert. Arizona is cowboy country and along with that lifestyle comes barbecuing. Jeremy loves to barbecue. In fact he’s taken it to a whole new level. Farm-to-table meets South Western barbecue. Now that’s interesting! He uses local hardwoods like Hickory and Oak to add flavor to all his dishes. “We built the grill and oven ourselves.” It’s been a learning process all around--we played with the recipes and tested them over and over until we got it just right”, Jeremy said. Watching him at work outside, you can tell he’s in his element and having fun. When we asked what he was going to do when colder months approach, Jeremy replied, “I’m going to wear my down parka and cook out here for as long as I can.” That’s the spirit!
The Food
Our evening began at the Farmhouse restaurant sitting on the patio sipping Hendricks gin martinis accompanied by cockles straight off the grill. Then we headed into the main dining room.
Chef McMillan served up his tasting menu for us. We started off with Tomato Salad with Avocado, Mustard and Arugula. ($15.00) We snapped a picture of this dish with our iPhone and you can see that the ingredients are glowing, fresh and alive with nutrients. It tasted as good as it looked. Next in the lineup was the Farfalle, Lobster Mushroom Bolognese and Parmigiano. ($19.00) The dish is hand made from scratch by Garcelle each day! Its best not to cut into the individual Farfalle but, rather dine on each morsel whole so you’ll be able to get that incredible expansion of flavor as it hits your pallet. Yummy. The Beef Strip Loin with Chimichurri ($45.00) was beautiful to look at. The photo of this dish brings out the magic of Chef McMillan’s grillwork. The dish presented just like a magazine beauty shot. Perfect. We’d never seen such an appetizing cut of beef. We savored the juices of each perfectly cooked slice that melted in our mouths.

For Dessert
Stone Fruit and Frangipan Tart, Crème Frache Gelato ($40.00) This was hands down our favorite dessert. It looked so appetizing when it was presented. The combination of fresh fruits combined with gelato and pastry was brilliant. This is a sophisticated dessert that both adults and children will appreciate and the portion is large enough to share.
The Artisanal Cheeses Selections - are amazing. We sampled a selection of eight which will take you on a master cheese tour of the world. It’s very delicious and fun to sample. ($40.00)
