Lunch was truly a delightful experience and I couldn’t wait to get back out on the mountain to check out some of the amazing custom homes slope side on American Spirit.

Here you’ll see some of the newest homes, which have been custom designed by architects in a western log cabin style. They range in size from 5,000 to 9,000 square-feet. Your dream lot starts at $1.8M.

Swooshing by the snow-covered roofs I was suddenly compelled to turn into the fall line and take a little site seeing break. I should be a voyeur, as it was fun to take a peeking glance inside and think about the families who lived here. And how much fun it would be to decorate and live there someday too. Someday…

The Suger Shacks
My final indulgence at The Yellowstone Club was to make a pit stop to check out one of three ‘Sugar Shacks’ located on the mountain.

These small log cabins are stocked with penny candy, protein bars, and hot cocoa to keep you going on the fly! You can even warm yourself up next to a potbelly stove for a few minutes before continuing on down the mountain.

All good things must come to an end at some point.
This was my final run of the day. I had arrived to The Yellowstone Club via a Big Sky Resort access trail and now I was sad it was time to go.

As I skied down a beautiful little trail, I felt as if my Visa had expired. Lady luck had visited me on this day. Will she’ll shine on me again and someday? I’ll be back!
